I actually ended up buying and using an external plug in usb wifi for about a year now… just found out it’s some bs software that came with machine that got some random update that caused it to override the windows software. ![]() If you went into the wifi settings to turn it on, it may indicate that it is turned back on, but if you closed it and went back in it would be off. Windows would indicate that the wifi was turned off, but there is no physical switch on this machine. Longer story: Wifi intermittently stopped working and eventually stopped working all together (made me think there was something physically wrong with the wifi card). Solution: Make sure the wifi is turned on/enabled in the “VAIO Easy Connect” setting (green box with arrows) in the taskbar, do not uninstall the software, it creates new problems and Sony no longer hosts the software to reinstall. ![]() Problem: Wifi card inexplicably disabled, unable to enable wifi from windows settings
